One of my favorite features in my fashion magazines has always been the one that highlights what celebrities are carrying in their bags on a daily basis. Call me curious, but I love to know what other people “can’t live without,” especially when it comes to beauty products. With that in mind, I decided to ask some cool and fashionable Bergen County girls my favorite question: What’s in your bag?

Jennifer Aydin

Coming from a traditional Turkish background, Jennifer Aydin has always put her family first. She is a mother to five children ranging from 5 to 13 years old and is happily married to a successful plastic surgeon. But as Jennifer’s youngest child is about to enter school, Jennifer finds herself ready to break out of her traditional role as homemaker and mother, challenging the roles she and her husband have subscribed to for their entire relationships. And when Jennifer helps to arrange her brother Michael’s marriage to a family friend in Turkey, she is unprepared for the backlash she faces from some of the ladies who find it difficult to accept her less than modern ways. Catch her on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Kylie Matte Lip Kit in Coco: “This is a great go-to universal color. It works with every look I wear.”

Winter Candy Apple Lotion: “I get dry in the winter so it is always good to have a lotion in my bag. The smell is intoxicating and people always compliment me. You can only get the lotion during Christmas time so I stock up on it (10-15 bottles, at least!).”

Morphe Matte Lipstick in Honey: “In my opinion, this is the perfect cool tone brown/grey nude. It’s a favorite of mine, especially with my green eyes and blonde hair.”

Muah Makeup & Lash Bar’s Noir Black Gel Eyeliner: “This eyeliner is the best eyeliner I have ever used, and I’ve tried a lot. It’s the darkest black I’ve found and it does not bleed. It goes on so smoothly. I just can’t live without this in my makeup bag.”

Scentbird Perfume: “Scentbird has been the best way of trying out different perfumes without committing to $80 bottles that just collect dust on my shelves.”

Whole Foods Lip Balm in peppermint: “It’s a lifesaver in between my days of wearing three lipsticks to achieve that perfect pout.”

KIND Bar: “I’m always running around town and don’t know when or if I’ll have time to sit and eat a meal. I always carry a peanut butter chocolate chip KIND bar in my bag so I don’t get ‘hangry!’”

Portable Phone Charger: “I am always on my phone. Whether it’s on a phone call or social media, my phone is always dying. My portable phone charger saves the day when I’m on-the-go and don’t have time for a charge.”

MAC Lipstick in Faux: “There is always some sort of MAC lipstick in my bag. Right now, my color is Faux.”

Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring: “I try to workout 5-6 days a week and sometimes it’s hard to fit it in. Most of the time, I am running from the gym to a meeting, so I always have my Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring to keep my hair fresh without a hair tie bump. This way, I don’t look too disheveled going into my meeting.”

The Bath and Body Works In the Stars Body Cream: “The In the Stars Body Cream makes your body and hands super soft. It smells so delicious that people substitute it for perfume. Anastasia Beverly Hills Moon Jelly Lip Gloss: “My favorite gloss is the Moon Jelly Lip Gloss. This holographic color adds an extra sparkle and it matches with everything! It is so easy to throw on wherever you are going, such as school, dance, parties, the gym and work. Along with everything else it does, it also nourishes the lip and is for all ages.”

Grab and Go Hair Tie: “This Grab and Go Hair Tie is on me at all times – whether in my hair, on my wrist or in my bag. It gives you the perfect high pony or bun and never leaves a crease. When you aren’t using this hair tie in your hair, you can use it as a bracelet. It comes in so many different colors that you can match it with your hair or your OOTD.”

Rosewater Mario Badescu Spray: “The rosewater facial spray is so hydrating that it will wake you up and make you feel refreshed in the morning. If you get tired throughout the day, you can even spray it 1-2 times on your face and you will definitely feel refreshed. I also like to bring this when I go on an airplane or on the camp bus because it gives me a little boost! It comes in all different sizes so it fits any of your bags. This product happens to smell amazing too.”
